My name is Michael Golembewski, and I'm an artist and interaction designer.
My work specializes in the development of new kinds of tools for artists. All art requires a tool of some kind, after all - whether one as simple as the pen, as ubiquitous as the spoken or written word, or as technically complex as the computer. The tools we use to express ourselves have a huge impact on how that expression manifests itself - which is something that we tend to forget, when working with a tool that has an established method of use. I feel that creating, and then working with, new kinds of tools - ones which we, as the creators of these tools, must figure out how to use - can be a great help in letting us see the world in new and interesting ways. Plus, it's a lot of fun.
I've recently returned to the United States after three years in London, and I'm now living in Olympia, Washington.
